General Maintenance Worker

$ 22-25 Hourly Pay Range (based on experience)

PTO, Group Health Insurance and Dental Insurance, Paid Holidays

Hours: 8 am to 4 pm Monday-Friday 

The organization: Located in Livingston, NY, Triform Camphill was founded in 1979 with the mission of building a vital community life together with young adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Triform bases its work on the recognition of the spiritual integrity of the individual regardless of ability and aims to provide dignified, meaningful work, a healthy social atmosphere, and a vital cultural, artistic, and spiritual life.

The position: The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining and repairing all aspects of Triform’s facility and physical plant.  The Maintenance Worker works closely with the Director of Operations and the Quality Assurance Coordinator ensuring a safe and functional environment for all community members on both Triform campuses. This is primarily a hands-on position.

Responsibilities:

·         Maintain the safe working order of all buildings, equipment and systems.

·         Complete work order requests in a timely manner.

·         Support the inspection of fire alarm systems as needed and perform monthly checks on fire extinguishers.

·         Monitor water systems.

·         Snow clearing when schedule allows

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.

·         Experience of at least 4 years of working in the field.

·         Technical knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)

·         Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols

·         Proficiency in computer skills for record keeping.

·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·         Alignment with and support of the community’s core mission.
